Do you want to help shape the church of the future where urban meets rural? We are now looking for a dedicated parish priest for Gårdsby congregation within the Växjö parish. Here, the best of both worlds meet – the proximity to Växjö city and the tranquility of the Småland countryside. Sandsbro is the main location of the congregation, an expanding part of Växjö with growing life and community.

In Gårdsby congregation, there is a large and vibrant children and youth ministry with many confirmands. You will have the opportunity to celebrate services both in the large church during holidays and in the smaller chapel for intimate and personal settings. You will be part of a well-functioning team that collaborates closely with colleagues in the Northern area, and together we work to unite tradition and renewal in congregational life.

We are looking for someone who is an ordained priest within the Church of Sweden and enjoys meeting people of all ages. You have a particular commitment to children, youth, and confirmands, as well as to worship life, congregational building, and diaconal work. We see that you have the ability to work independently and flexibly while valuing collaboration and long-term changes. There may be opportunities for leadership roles, and we place great importance on personal suitability.
